Darya Dodon, a master’s student of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology PNU completed a summer internship at IOCB Prague

Daria Dodon, a master’s student of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology PNU took part in the IOCB Summer Student Program (SSP 2024).
The program was organized and funded by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB Prague).
From the beginning of July to the end of August, Daria actively worked in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry under the supervision of Dr. Edward Curtis and Katka Dusková (https://curtis.group.uochb.cz/en).
The aim of the project was to select and optimize methods for assessing the effectiveness of DNA zymes. The importance of the study lies in the quantification of the enzyme reaction yield, which plays a key role in testing new DNA zymes and the subsequent introduction of rapid tests based on them into clinical practice.
