The student team from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University participated in the Startech 4.0 Nawa Edition workshop held at the Space Research Centre (Krakow, Poland) from 30 September to 4 October.
The event was another in a series of joint student activities organised by the Universeh alliance of European space universities. This time our University was represented by students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Nadiia Verezhak and Khrystyna Fediv.
Together with students from France (Université Jean-Jaurès and INP-ENSAT), Italy (University of Tor Vergata), Germany (University of Düsseldorf), Sweden (Lulea Technical University), Luxembourg (University of Luxembourg) and Poland (AGH University in Krakow), our girls developed business models for new companies that will use remote sensing methods from spacecraft.
It is important that the Universeh-Extended for Ukraine project not only continues its activities, but also becomes the basis for new successful projects combining high technology and European educational standards. In particular, in October this year the project “Digital course for university analogue astronauts space trainings” will be launched within the framework of the European Union ERASMUS+ grant programme (2024-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000252474).
The project is coordinated by the Stanislaw Staszyc University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and the consortium members, in addition to the Vasyl Stefanyk University of Silesia, are the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines from France, the Academy of Art and Design Poliarte Politecnico delle Arti SRL from Italy and CreateHub from Poland.
The aim of the project, which will be carried out at the Department of Materials Science and New Technologies of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, is to develop e-learning courses adapted to the training of potential participants in space missions.
